It’s been more than a year since the teaser of Aakasam Dhaati Vasthaava, featuring choreographer-turned-actor Yash, has been out. While ideally the film should have hit the screens now, our sources tell us that leading producer Dil Raju has taken the project on a prestigious note and wants it to hit the bull’s-eye at any cost. It is the reason why, the sources add, the film has been rewritten multiple times and even re-shot.
And the latest about the film is that Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal’s wife Dhanashree Verma has hopped on board for a crucial role. “Aakasam Dhaati Vasthaava is a musical romantic drama. With Yash in the lead, obviously it has a lot of dance. The film’s story has scope for a second leading lady who is nimble-footed. The makers searched for various options before locking on Dhanashree who is an actor and a professional dancer. She agreed to be a part of the project after liking what her character brings to the table and the story in total,” a source close to the development tells us exclusively.
The source goes on to add that Dhanashree shot for some of her portions in Mumbai recently and she will join the sets in Hyderabad again.
Being made on Dil Raju Productions by Harshith Reddy and Hanshitha, the film marks the directorial debut of Sasi Kumar Muthuluri, while noted singer Karthik has composed the soundtrack. Karthika Muraleedharan is playing the leading lady.
