Many were worried when five Telugu films confirmed their release for Sankranthi season this year. After intervention from big players and when promised a solo release on a later date, Ravi Teja’s Eagle skipped its theatrical release on January 13 and was postponed to February 9. However, Ooru Peru Bhairavakona confirmed its release date too for the same day sometime ago.

The makers of Eagle recently wrote a note to the Telugu producer’s council to resolve the issue, requesting a solo release on February 9, as promised. The body has taken note of their issue and have cleared all the decks to ensure a smooth solo release of Eagle on the specified date. Ooru Peru Bhairavakona, the mystical thriller starring Sundeep Kishan, will now hit screens on February 16.

Varun Tej’s Telugu-Hindi bilingual Operation Valentine, which was to release on February 16, will now be pushed to a later date, sources confirm. With all the issues resolved, team Eagle is set to re-commence their promotional campaign. Directed by Karthik Gattamneni, the film has a huge star cast bringing together Kavya Thapar, Anupama Parameswaran, Srinivas Avasarala, Madhoo, Navdeep.

Eagle will be simultaneously releasing in Hindi as well - the film has been titled Sahadev for the dubbed version. Besides direction, Karthik has also edited the film and is the co-cinematographer. Meanwhile, Yatra 2, Mahi V Raghav’s sequel to the 2019 release, starring Jiiva, will release globally, as planned on February 8.
