Eagle title video which dropped 10 days ago showed Ravi Teja in various shades– of a painter and a cotton farmer– with intelligence agents hot on his trail. The video managed to build mystery and intrigue around the mass Maharaja’s character. But what is he playing in the film exactly? A little digging confirmed to us that Ravi will be seen as an expert marksman in the film. “Painter and cotton farmer are a ruse from Ravi’s end. In the film, he will be seen as a sniper, who is also a ruthless assassin. He is not ex-forces or a mercenary. It’s a role that Ravi has hitherto played in his career, a factor that led him to sign the film in the first place,” informs a source close to the unit.
The source adds that Eagle will be high on action, with turbocharged and adrenaline-filled scenes. “The action part has been designed in a different way and it will be a new experience for our audience watching such kind of action play out on the big screen. Multiple stunt masters have been hired for various action sequences. Also, for every 10-15 minutes of the film, there will be a high and surprise,” the source reveals.
Eagle is presently being shot during nights at Aluminium Factory, Hyderabad. The schedule will go on until July 4, witnessing the complete shoot wrapped up. “Cinematographer-turned-director Karthik Gattamneni is planning to shoot the patch work– if any– in August, leaving him five-and-a-half months for post-production. Plus, Anupama Parameswaran is not cast opposite Ravi Teja in the film. In the context of the narrative, she is playing an important part,” the source concludes.
Also featuring Srinivas Avasarala, Madhubala, Kavya Thapar, Ajay Ghosh, Srinivas Reddy and Vinay Rai, Eagle is slated to hit the screens for Sankranti next year. It is a production venture of TG Vishwa Prasad under People Media Factory, with first-timer Davzand composing music.
