Funky is arriving in theatres as a Valentine’s Day treat, bringing a shower of laughter to audiences. The film brings together Mass Ka Das Vishwak Sen, who has built a unique identity with diverse films, and director K.V. Anudeep, who has become a go-to name for comedy cinema. Presented by Srikara Studios, the film is produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, and Kayadu Lohar plays the female lead.

Releasing on February 13, Funky has generated strong expectations among audiences. The already released teaser, trailer, and songs have been widely appreciated and have doubled the buzz. On Wednesday evening, the film’s team held a grand pre-release event at Lake View Club in Khammam.

Vishwak Sen said:
“Before every release, I feel a bit of tension. But before Funky, I am surprisingly calm. When our time is good and our films work, everyone supports us. Even though my last two films were slightly disappointing, I am deeply grateful to everyone who stood by me and supported me. I will never forget your love. In life, we sometimes fall down. Falling is not a mistake; not getting back up is. Because of your love, I am standing here today. You will enjoy Funky thoroughly.

When I was going through a rough phase, this wonderful film came to me. It felt like it was sent by God. I thank director Anudeep garu and producer Naga Vamsi garu for giving me such a good film. Special thanks to Chinababu garu, who closely oversaw everything for this movie.

Everyone who comes to the theatre will laugh a lot watching this film. My pairing with Kayadu Lohar has worked beautifully. She is very talented and hardworking. She has a bright future ahead.

Two years ago, the pre-release event of Ashoka Vanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam also happened in Khammam. I believe that same sentiment will continue with Funky. The film will entertain every member of the family. See you in theatres on February 13. This film will not disappoint you at all.”

“I studied in Madina College in Khammam. I used to travel by train from Mahabubabad to Khammam, singing songs and writing poems. Today, the songs I wrote and composed here are being heard across continents. People are singing, dancing, and whistling to them. My heartfelt thanks to Khammam district, the people of Khammam, and everyone who encouraged me.

Funky is a full family entertainer. Everyone who watches it will say it’s very good. You can go with friends or family and have a great time laughing together. You will laugh throughout the film. I enjoyed every scene while composing the background score. I personally loved the film a lot.

After watching Jathi Ratnalu, I wanted to make a film like that and work with such a director. I got this opportunity through director Kalyan Shankar of MAD. This is my fourth film with Sithara Entertainments — starting with MAD, then MAD Square, Mass Jathara, and now Funky. I hope to do many more films with Sithara.

మాస్ కా దాస్ విశ్వక్ సేన్ మాట్లాడుతూ.."ప్రతి సినిమా విడుదలకు ముందు నాకు కొంచెం టెన్షన్ ఉంటుంది. కానీ ఫంకీ విడుదలకు ముందు మాత్రం చాలా ప్రశాంతంగా ఉన్నాను. మన టైం బాగున్నప్పుడు, మన సినిమాలు బాగా ఆడుతున్నప్పుడు అందరూ సపోర్ట్ చేస్తారు. కానీ, నా గత రెండు చిత్రాలు కాస్త నిరాశపరిచినప్పటికీ.. నాతో పాటు నిల్చొని, నన్ను సపోర్ట్ చేసిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరికీ మనస్ఫూర్తిగా కృతఙ్ఞతలు. మీ ప్రేమను ఎప్పటికీ మరిచిపోలేను. జీవితంలో అప్పుడప్పుడు పడిపోతుంటాం. పడటం తప్పు కాదు.. తిరిగి మళ్ళీ నిలబడకపోవడం తప్పు. మీ అందరి ప్రేమ వల్లే నేను ఇక్కడ నిలబడ్డాను. ఫంకీ సినిమా చూసి బాగా ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తారు. పరిస్థితులు బాలేని సమయంలో ఇంత అద్భుతమైన సినిమా నా దగ్గరకు వచ్చింది. ఆ దేవుడే పంపించాడు అనిపించింది. నాకు ఇంత మంచి సినిమా ఇచ్చిన దర్శకుడు అనుదీప్ గారికి, నిర్మాత నాగవంశీ గారికి కృతఙ్ఞతలు. చినబాబు గారికి ప్రత్యేక కృతఙ్ఞతలు. ఈ సినిమా విషయంలో ఆయన దగ్గరుండి అన్నీ చూసుకున్నారు. థియేటర్ కు వచ్చిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరిని ఈ సినిమా విపరీతంగా నవ్విస్తుంది. కయాదు లోహర్‌ తో నా జోడి చక్కగా కుదిరింది. తనలో ఎంతో ప్రతిభ ఉంది, కష్టపడే తత్త్వం ఉంది. కయాదుకి మంచి భవిష్యత్తు ఉంటుంది. రెండు సంవత్సరాల క్రితం నేను నటించిన 'అశోకవనంలో అర్జున కళ్యాణం' ప్రీ రిలీజ్ ఈవెంట్ ఖమ్మంలోనే జరిగింది. ఇప్పుడు ఫంకీకి ఆ సెంటిమెంట్ కంటిన్యూ అవుతుందని నమ్ముతున్నాను. కుటుంబంలోని ప్రతి ఒక్కరిని అలరించేలా ఫంకీ ఉంటుంది. ఫిబ్రవరి 13న థియేటర్లలో కలుద్దాం. ఈ సినిమా మిమ్మల్ని అసలు నిరాశపరచదు" అన్నారు.

సంగీత దర్శకుడు భీమ్స్ సిసిరోలియో మాట్లాడుతూ.."నేను ఖమ్మంలోని మదీనా కాలేజ్ లోనే చదువుకున్నాను. మహబూబాబాద్ నుంచి ఖమ్మంకు ట్రైన్ లో వచ్చేవాడిని. అప్పుడు ఎన్నో పాటలు పాడేవాడిని, ఎన్నో కవితలు రాసేవాడిని. నేను ఇక్కడ నుంచి రాసిన పాటలు, ఇక్కడ నుంచి స్వరపరిచిన పాటలు ఖండాంతరాలు దాటి మారుమోగిపోతున్నాయి. అందరూ పాడుతున్నారు, డ్యాన్స్ లు వేస్తున్నారు, విజిల్స్ వేస్తున్నారు. ఖమ్మం జిల్లాకు, ఖమ్మం ప్రజలకు, నన్ను ప్రోత్సహించిన ప్రతిఒక్కరికీ హృదయపూర్వక కృతఙ్ఞతలు. ఫంకీ సినిమా ఫుల్ ఫ్యామిలీ ఎంటర్టైనర్. చూసిన ప్రతి ఒక్కరూ భలే ఉంది సినిమా అంటారు. స్నేహితులతో, కుటుంబం సభ్యులతో కలిసి సినిమాకి చూసి సరదాగా నవ్వుకోవచ్చు. సినిమా అంతా కడుపుబ్బా నవ్వుతూనే ఉంటారు. నేపథ్యం సంగీతం చేసేటప్పుడు ప్రతి సన్నివేశం ఆస్వాదించాను. సినిమా నాకు చాలా చాలా నచ్చింది.

జాతిరత్నాలు చూసినప్పుడు ఇలాంటి సినిమా ఒకటి చేయాలి, ఇలాంటి దర్శకుడితో పని చేయాలి అనుకున్నాను. మ్యాడ్ దర్శకుడు కళ్యాణ్ శంకర్ గారి ద్వారా నాకు ఈ అవకాశం వచ్చింది. సితార ఎంటర్‌టైన్‌మెంట్స్ బ్యానర్ లో ఇది నాకు నాలుగో సినిమా. మ్యాడ్ తో మొదలై మ్యాడ్ స్క్వేర్, మాస్ జాతర, ఇప్పుడు ఫంకీ చేశాను. సితార బ్యానర్ లో మరిన్ని సినిమాలు చేయాలని ఉంది. నాగవంశీ గారికి, చినబాబు గారికి, సాయి సౌజన్య గారికి, త్రివిక్రమ్ గారికి కృతఙ్ఞతలు. విశ్వక్ సేన్ గారితో మరిన్ని సినిమాలు చేసే అవకాశం రావాలని కోరుకుంటున్నాను. అనుదీప్ గారు మానవత్వం, విలువలు ఉన్న వ్యక్తి. ఇచ్చిన మాట మీద కట్టుబడి ఉంటారు. కష్టాల్లో ఉన్నవారికి అండగా నిలబడతారు. అనుదీప్ గారితో సినిమా చేయాలన్న నా కోరిక ఫంకీతో నెరవేరింది." అన్నారు.
