The trailer of Anand Deverakonda-headlined Gam Gam Ganesha was dropped by the makers on Monday and it promises to be a quirky crime drama laden with humour and thrills in equal measure.
Playing out over two minutes and 39 seconds, the trailer introduces Anand trying to win the hearts of multiple women. He has a tattoo around his neck and fools around with women with it. We are later introduced to a crooked leader whose Rs 80 cr has been seized but that doesn’t deter him to pump in Rs 20 crore extra to win his seat. The trailer later fast forwards to Rajavaripalli where Ganesh Chaturti festival is due. The local Kondaveeti Raja (Satyam Rajesh) has taken the mantle of organizing the festival this time around. Into the mix, we also get to see Vennela Kishore who is playing a doctor. Anand strikes a deal with someone to make quick bucks and the Ganesha idol in Rajavaripalli holds the key as multiple gangs are after it to steal. Towards the end, Anand is left with no option but to put his gun to use to escape from the mess he’s involved in. The trailer ends with multiple gangs engaged in a fierce gun battle.
Overall, the trailer is hilarious and amusing, promising a madcap comedy of the highest order. Anand Deverakonda fits his part to a tee and he is more confident than ever in his skills. Jabardusth Emmanuel seems to have got a meaty part and his one-liners land. The background score by Chaitan Bharadwaj is lively and complements the teaser well.
Also featuring Pragati Srivastava, Nayan Sarika, Raj Arjun and Karisma in supporting roles, Gam Gam Ganesha, which is written and directed by debutant Uday Bommisetty, is a joint production venture between Kedar Selagamsetty and Vamsi Karumanchi. It sails into cinemas this May 31st.
#GamGamGanesha trailer is interesting. It’s a crime comedy that revolves around a Ganesh idol. And most of it happens in Rayalaseema.
