The filming of Praveen Sattaru’s next, Gandeevadhari Arjuna, top-lined by Varun Tej, is in the final leg. The makers are currently in Budapest, Hungary, gearing up for the final schedule which begins on Monday. On Saturday, they revealed a video where Varun, who will be seen as a chief security officer (CSO) Arjun for an Indian union minister, prepping up for the massive action sequences that lie ahead of him.
According to a source close to the unit, the final schedule will go until May 24th in Budapest. “Praveen has already wrapped up the talkie portions. The Budapest schedule will call it an end to the entire shoot. After the edit is locked, he will reserve a day for a couple of green screen shots. This part will be done in Hyderabad. Local stunt masters have been hired for the Budapest outing, which will witness sequences like bike chase, cars chasing a bike, action on a train and the climax. It will also involve some hand-to-hand combat sequences. Overall, it’s an action-packed schedule ahead for Varun and he has gone all out with the prep,” the source revealed.
Gandeevadhari Arjuna is set in the backdrop of a UN summit and discusses climate change, Praveen had told us some time back. “Action is just a part of the narrative but the story is the bigger platform which talks about climate change and how nobody is trying to address it. It’s a threat which will wipe off humanity. We are discussing an issue of today and tomorrow in the film,” he had said about the fast-paced action thriller.
A production venture of BVSN Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, the film, a Mickey J Meyer musical, features Nasser, Vinay Rai and Evarina Epudaina girl Vimala Raman in supporting roles, while Agent girl Sakshi Vaidya is paired opposite Varun.
