Gautham Krishna Ghattamaneni, who made his debut as a child actor with 1: Nenokkadine, will not don the greasepaint as a leading man any time soon, his mother Namrata clarified on Saturday in Hyderabad. To a question on when her son will be launched on the sidelines of PMJ Jewels event–of which her daughter Sithara is the brand ambassador– Namrata said, “Gautham is just 16-years-old. It will take time for him. He is studying now. He is very interested in finishing his graduation and all of that. So he’s busy studying. It will take, maybe, seven-eight years (for his launch).”

Namrata added that Mahesh saw the PMJ video featuring Sithara and he loved it. “He saw it again and again in repeat mode. He loved it. He almost had tears in his eyes. It was a very emotional moment,” she noted.

When asked why Sithara preferred PMJ, Namrata stated, “To be honest, Sithara has been doing a lot on her own on social media. We haven’t really pushed her to do something deliberately. Even this was offered to her by the family of PMJ and we thought the script was of her age. We thought a lot of girls her age would like to see it. It was also a message. So I think it all fell into place in the right way.”
