On Monday, speculations were rife that S Thaman was shown the door from Guntur Kaaram, starring superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead. As rumours continued to swirl around vociferously, the composer had to take to Twitter to post some indirect messages about his presence in the movie. Taking potshots at such reports and people who are spreading the gossip, he wrote, “Bananas are very healthy for tummy Burning’s Beeewwwwwwww tats a lovely burps,” he wrote in one tweet. In another, he added, “And also From Tom I am starting #Buttermilk Stall for free of cost at my studios people suffering with stomach burning symptoms are welcome pls get cured.”
The reports, however, didn’t die down despite Thaman’s retorts. On Tuesday, reports once again surfaced that another leading composer is likely to replace him in Guntur Kaaram, setting off a chain of similar such reports. Our sources confirmed that Thaman is very much a part of the film. The fact that he already composed music for the glimpse which released on superstar Krishna’s birth anniversary last month meant that a change of guard was not in the best interest of the film at this juncture. Also, sources told us that the film’s new schedule will commence from June 24 in Hyderabad.
Guntur Kaaram marks Mahesh and Trivikram joining hands for the third time after Athadu and Khaleja and expectations on the film are visibly high. A family entertainer peppered with a generous dose of humour and action, the film also stars Pooja Hegde and Sree Leela. It is produced by S Radha Krishna (Chinababu) under Haarika & Hassine Creations and will fly into cinemas Sankranti next year.
