Into its third week, Prasanth Varma’s Hanuman, fronted by Teja Sajja, continues to do wonders at the box office. The film, so far, has minted a gross of Rs 250 crores, while emerging as the biggest Indian grosser of the year. In the process, it is establishing new records at the turnstiles.

The film now holds the distinction of being the biggest grosser ever for a Telugu film on the 15th day of its release. “#HanuManRAMpage going berserk at the Box-Office #HANUMAN emerges as the ALL-TIME HIGHEST Collected film among the Telugu movies on their 15th day of release in AP & TS,” film’s production house Primeshow Entertainment posted on X on Saturday.

In North America, it is continuing to enjoy a dream run. The film collected $65,768 from 176 locations, taking the total to $4,823,605, while Guntur Kaaram’s overall total stood at $2,617,296. Hanuman made a gross of Rs 40 crore from North America alone until now and is showing no signs of slowing down any time soon.

Set in the fictional village of Anjanadri, Hanuman follows the story of an ordinary guy Hanumanthu (played by Teja) who unexpectedly gains superpowers. A formidable super villain later (played by Vinai Rai) enters his life and how he takes on the former, while saving Anjanadri forms the crux of the story. Niranjan Reddy Kandagatla has produced it. Hanuman marks the beginning of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), which will be followed by Jai Hanuman and Adhira.

With people still flocking to cinema halls to catch the film, the film is poised to break many records by the time its theatrical run ends. Meanwhile, the makers on Saturday held a gratitude meet in Hyderabad to celebrate the film’s monstrous success. It was attended by the whole cast and crew.
