With his first two films as a director clicking at the box office big time, actor Dhanush is ready with his third directorial, Jaabilamma Neeku Antha Kopama (JNAK), the trailer of which was dropped earlier in the day. From the looks of it, the trailer promises a perfect blend of romance, drama and chaos, while delving into the complexities of modern relationships.

A little over two minutes, the trailer opens with Dhanush, the actor, labeling his film as a usual love story before we are introduced to Prabhu (played by Pavish) who is in a relationship with a character played by Priya Prakash Varrier. He is a chef but the people around him have no clue about the difference between a chef and a cook. Priya is concerned about whether Prabhu drinks or smokes before taking the relationship to the next level. Next up, we are introduced to Anikha Surendran who is soon to get hitched to a character played Siddharth Shankar. There’s a catch, however. Anikha was Prabhu’s ex-girlfriend and they had to drift apart due to Anikha’s father (played by Sarath Kumar) who disapproves of Prabhu. Soon Anikha’s path crosses with that of Prabhu. What happens next seems to form the crux of the story, with Dhanush appearing once again in the end and asking us to come for a fun watch.

Rounding up, the trailer promises a wildly entertaining ride, offering a fresh and relatable take on new-age relationships. It also seems to be replete with twists and turns, which are a bonus. The young actors keep it real, while the music by GV Prakash is complementing the film’s modern theme.

JNAK is produced by Dhanush along with his parents Kasthuri Raja and Vijayalakshmi Kasthuri, under Wunderbar Films and RK Productions. Asian Suresh is distributing the film slotted for a release on Feb 21.
