As Kiran Abbavaram turned a year older on Monday, the teaser of his next, KA, was released by the makers at an event in Hyderabad on Monday. The teaser has an air of mystery around it with an action-feel.
Spanning 1:33 minutes, the teaser begins with a voiceover questioning who Kiran is and where has he come from? The backdrop is a fictional village called Krishnagiri where darkness descends every day as the clock strikes 3 pm. The voiceover adds that Kiran, a postman, has a habit of reading other people’s letters, while asking whether he has no closed ones. “You’ve gone as far as killing people. Who are you actually?” The voiceover wants to know. Kiran answers finally. “The one I know is good. The one I don’t know…,” he passes as we get to see a close up of his sharp eyes. The teaser later shifts to action mode. It ends with the voiceover describing Kiran as a wolf.
Overall, the teaser promises a gritty and dark action thriller with a setting that gives you all sorts of spooky vibes. Kiran seems to have put in a lot of effort to nail his character which has shades of grey, while the background score by Sam CS amplifies the tension.
Written and directed by debutants Sujith and Sandeep, KA is a production venture of Chinta Gopalakrishna Reddy under Srichakraas Entertainments. Tanvi Ram (2018 fame) and Nayan Sarika (Gam Gam Ganesha) are playing the female protagonists, while Achyuth Kumar (Kantara fame) and Goparaju Ramana will be seen in supporting turns.
