Attention ladies and gentlemen, the wait is over. The much-awaited #VD12 is titled Kingdom and it was announced along with a teaser on Wednesday. Vijay, in a complete new avatar, made our hearts skip a beat.
Spanning close to two minutes, the teaser opens with Jr NTR’s stirring voiceover and he talks about a relentless war which leaves many ordinary people dead. The people are tired but the war doesn’t seem to cease. For whom is this destruction? NTR asks, only for him to reveal that it is for a new king who takes birth ripping apart the land of the war. We are then introduced to Vijay Deverakonda in a brand new avatar. He does a somersault on a road and holds a shield close to his body to stop a barrage of bullets piercing his body. As he walks amid a posse of soldiers later, there is absolute silence. We also see him in a jail inspiring fellow inmates. The teaser ends with him saying that he will do anything even if it means burning everything.
In conclusion, the teaser, promising a tale of power, fear and transformation, soaks the viewers in a world where there is no value for human life and law enforcement is constantly on the front lines. From the rugged landscapes to the atmospheric lighting and dynamic cinematography, every frame is visually rich and engaging enough to keep audiences on the edge of their seats. Without revealing much about the plot, the teaser, highlighting Vijay’s intense avatar, provides a tantalizing glimpse of the narrative. The imagery is fused with an electric background score (by Anirudh Ravichander) which elevates the spectacle.
