The teaser of Laila, fronted by Vishwak Sen, was dropped by the makers on Friday and it takes the audience on a fun ride with its comedy.
Spanning 1.43 minutes, the teaser opens with Sonu (played by Vishwak), who runs a beauty parlor in Old City, Hyderabad. Skilled in the art of make-up, he transforms average looking women into beautiful women, with one woman saying that he’s got magical hands. His skill, however, faces the wrath of men from the same place who are keen to take him out. But Sonu, besides being a total flirt, will not leave anyone who comes in his way. A good 20 seconds of the teaser is dedicated to his action prowess, while it concludes with him transforming into sultry Laila. To know the reason behind it, guess we have to wait a little longer. There’s a double entendre dialogue by Laila as the teaser concludes and it should find its audience.
Packed with hilarious moments and quirky characters, the teaser hints at a fun-filled ride for audiences. Additionally, there’s some naughty humour as well. Vishwak shines in his dual turns; he is all out there with no inhibitions whatsoever. It’s a risk to play a lady character early in his career but he seems to have pulled it off with effortless ease. Leon James' background score complements the different moods of the teaser well, while the production values are lavish.
