The trailer of Laila, headlined by Vishwak Sen, has the perfect dose of hilarity and weird situations to brighten up your Thursday. It was released by the makers at an event in Hyderabad earlier in the day.
Close to two minutes and 30 seconds, the trailer opens with a police officer (played by Prithviraj) saying that an MLA is battling for his life because of Sonu (Vishwak), a make-up artist from the Old City. Sonu’s effigies are burnt everywhere while some anti-social elements are on the lookout for him. If you are found, you can be killed, Sonu’s friend warns him. So Sonu formulates a plan. How about turning into a woman named Laila? Enter Laila and everyone seems to forget about Sonu. Prithviraj and a character played by Abhimanyu Singh swoon over Laila. So do many other men. Did turning Laila bailout Sonu or caused more problems? We have to wait until Valentine’s Day to find out.
Summing up, the trailer promises nonstop entertainment with Vishwak as Laila leading from the front. The situations that Laila sees herself with many men trying to woo her is funny and Laila’s adult-oriented dialogue to those situations are funnier. The trailer is a clear proof that makers have gone all out to entertain the audience at any cost. As Laila, Vishwak infuses a lot of energy into the character, while the likes of Prithviraj and Abhimany Singh too guarantee plenty of laughter. The production values are lavish, while the music is peppy.
