Here’s the reason. Telangana was officially formed on June 2, 2014. Since the awards are presented by the Telangana Government, the jury was instructed to consider only films released after that date. As a result, only movies released in the last six months of 2014 were eligible. This is why several worthy films like Manam, Oohalu Gusagusalade, Minugurulu, Chandamama Kathalu, and Naa Bangaru Thalli were excluded. Among the eligible releases, Run Raja Run, Pathshala, and Alludu Sreenu received the Gaddar Awards for that year.
