మయసభ విజయం వెనకున్న సైన్యం, సంవత్సరాలుగా కష్టాలు, అడ్డంకులు ఎదుర్కొంటూ సినిమా తప్ప వేరే జీవితమే లేదని బతుకుతున్న అండర్‌డాగ్స్. వారి ప్రయాణానికి నివాళిగా ఈ వ్యాసాలు రాస్తున్నాను. వారిని తీర్చిదిద్దిన జీవిన పోరాటాలు, మయసభలో వారి ఎలా ఎంపిక, ఈ విజయంలో వారి పాత్ర ఈ వ్యాసాల్లో ప్రధాన అంశాలు. ప్రతి మనిషి ఒక నడిచే కథ—ఆ కథని ప్రపంచం వినడానికి, ఒకే ఒక్క అవకాశం చాలు.
"Breaking into the film industry is never easy, and for Chaitanya Rao Madadi, the journey was nothing short of a battle—truly living the line from Mayasabha: 'Yudhdham nee dharmam!'." Landing in Hyderabad from Australia with nothing but ambition, he had no contacts, no roadmap, and no idea where to begin. Every door he knocked on seemed to come with a “come tomorrow,” a false promise, or even demands for money. Sometimes, even after shooting a role, he wouldn’t know until release day whether his scene had been kept or cut.
Financially, the struggle was real. A small job barely covered his living expenses, and balancing work with endless auditions proved impossible.
Eventually, he took the leap—quitting his job to give acting a full chance, knowing the stakes were higher than ever. “When you have nothing to fall back on, you have no choice but to make it work,” he recalls.
After years of rejection and uncertainty, the 30 Weds 21 web series became a turning point, followed by Keedakola, which earned him recognition. But even then, the industry’s volatility kept him on edge—never knowing what might come next or if opportunities would truly materialize.
Mayasabha happened almost unexpectedly—a chain of events that began while he was working on Keedakola, directed by Tarun Bhascker. We were doing extensive auditions to find the right upcoming talent for KKN or MSR, since I had asked Aadhi to be open to playing either of the roles depending on his co-lead choice.
Around that time, Sundeep at the Sony LIV Hyderabad office brought Chaitanya to our notice. He asked us to check out 30 Weds 21. Though it was a rom-com, we could instantly feel Chaitanya was a brilliant actor—honest and authentic. His eyes and voice drew our attention. But he was too thin for the character. He had to put on almost 10–15 kgs of muscle to pass off as a weightlifting champion.
With a lot of doubts, we called him to audition for MSR with a warning: even if he acts well, if he couldn’t physically transform, he wouldn’t get the part. He took a couple of weeks, put on a little muscle just to assure us he could transform given enough time, and walked in for the audition. Two minutes into the audition... I yelled, “You are my MSR!”
The scene he auditioned with was the confrontation scene between KKN and MSR in the eighth episode, titled The Caste Fault Lines. The improvisation he did by spontaneously springing up and screaming, “నేను కులం గురించి మాట్లాడటం లేదు నాయుడు” ("I’m not talking about caste, Naidu") earned him the part.
His improvisations continued throughout the shoot in collaboration with Aadhi. Aadhi gave him a lot of comfort to be himself, and together they used to work out the scene most of the time while we were busy setting up the shots. Being real-life friends also helped translate our narrative onto the screen.
Mentioning a couple of improvisations out of many:
1. The subtle left-hand movements he implemented as he gradually transitioned into politics added a lot of authenticity and appeal to the character.
2. In the third episode, before the bomb blast at the construction building, the simple act of checking the air in the jeep’s tire before spotting the lit wire leading to the dynamite made the moment more authentic.
Mayasabha’s success means a lot to this ambitious soul, and we wish him many more great opportunities going forward. His story is one of grit, resilience, and self-belief—a reminder that even in an unpredictable industry, persistence can turn an underdog into a leading man.

“ప్రతి మనిషీ నడయాడే కథ!” – ఆర్టికల్ #2: చైతన్య రావు మదాడి
సినిమా ఇండస్ట్రీలో అవకాలు దొరకడమే అరుదు అందులోనూ సక్సెస్ రేట్ అంతకన్నా అరుదు. చైతన్య రావు మాడాది సినిమా ప్రయాణం almost ఒక “యుద్ధం నీ ధర్మం” అన్నట్టే సాగింది. ఆస్ట్రేలియాలో నుంచి హైదరాబాద్‌కి వచ్చినప్పుడు, ఆయన దగ్గర యాక్టర్ అవ్వాలన్న లక్ష్యం తప్ప ఇంకేం లేదు—కాంటాక్ట్స్ లేవు, ప్లాన్ లేదు, ఎక్కడి నుంచి స్టార్ట్ చేయాలో కూడా తెలియదు. ఎవరిని కలిసినా “రేపు రా” అనే సమాధానం, ఫేక్ ప్రామిసులు లేకపోతే డబ్బుల డిమాండ్లు ఎదురయ్యేవి. కొన్నిసార్లు నటించిన సీన్ ఎడిట్‌లో ఉండేనా, కట్ అవుతుందా అనే విషయం కూడా రిలీజ్ రోజు దాకా తెలియదు.
ఫైనాన్షియల్‌గా కూడా స్ట్రగుల్ చాలా రియల్. చేసే చిన్న జాబ్ లో వచ్చే ఆదాయం ఖర్చులకు సరిపోతుంది, కానీ జాబ్ చేస్తూ, మరో వైపు ఎండ్‌లెస్‌ ఆడిషన్స్ చేయడం కుదరదు.
ఫైనల్లీ, ఆ జాబ్‌కి రాజీనామా చేసి, యాక్టింగ్‌కి ఫుల్ ట్రై ఇవ్వాలని డిసైడ్ అయ్యాడు. “ఏ ఊతా లేకుండా ఏట్లో దూకినప్పుడు ఈడి గట్టెక్కాల్సిందే” అనుకున్నాడు.
ఏళ్ల తరబడి రిజెక్షన్లు, అనిశ్చితి తర్వాత, “30 Weds 21” వెబ్‌సిరీస్ అతని కెరీర్‌లో టర్నింగ్ పాయింట్ అయింది. తర్వాత వచ్చిన “కీడా కోలా” మూవీతో గుర్తింపు వచ్చింది. అయినా ఇండస్ట్రీ వోలటిలిటీ వల్ల మైండ్‌లో ఎప్పుడూ టెన్షన్ ఉండేది—నెక్స్ట్ ఏదైనా ప్రాజెక్ట్ వస్తుందా, రాదా అనుకుంటూ గడిపాడు.
చైతన్య “కీడా కోలా” షూట్ చేస్తున్నప్పుడు మేము ఆది పక్కన కొత్త లీడ్ ఫేస్ కోసం ఆడిషన్స్ చేస్తున్నాం. ఆదిని రెండు రోల్స్‌కీ ఓపెన్‌గా ఉన్నందువల్ల, కొత్త టాలెంట్ ని రెండు క్యారెక్టర్స్ కీ ఆడిషన్ చేసేవాళ్ళం. సోనీ లివ్ హైదరాబాద్ ఆఫీస్‌లో ఉన్న సందీప్, చైతన్య గురించి రెఫర్ చేసి "30 Weds 21" చూడమన్నాడు. అది రొమాంటిక్ కామెడీ అయినా, చైతన్య యాక్టింగ్‌లో నిజాయితీ, ఒరిజినాలిటీ స్పష్టంగా కనిపించింది. అతని కళ్లలో, వాయిస్‌లో ఏదో మ్యాజిక్ ఉంది. కానీ చాలా బక్కగా ఉన్నాడు అస్సల్ పనికి రాదేమో అనుకున్నాం. వెయిట్ లిఫ్టింగ్ ఛాంపియన్‌ పాత్రకి కనీసం 10–15 కిలోల మజిల్ పెరగాలి. డౌట్స్‌ ఉన్నప్పటికీ, MSR రోల్‌కి ఆడిషన్‌కి పిలిచాం, ఒక వార్నింగ్‌తో—"యాక్టింగ్ బాగా చేసినా, బాడీ ట్రాన్స్‌ఫార్మ్ కాకపోతే అవకాశం ఉండదు" అని చెప్పాం. రెండు వారాల్లో కొంచెం కండలు పెంచి, టైం ఇస్తే ట్రాన్స్‌ఫార్మేషన్ సాధ్యమే అని ప్రూవ్ చేయడానికి వచ్చాడు. ఆడిషన్ స్టార్ట్ అయిన రెండు నిమిషాల్లోనే “You are my MSR!” అని క్లాప్స్ కొట్టాను.
ఆయన ఆడిషన్ ఇచ్చిన సీన్ The Caste Fault Lines అనే ఎపిసోడ్‌లోని MSR – KKN confrontation సీన్. “నేను కులం గురించి మాట్లాడటం లేదు నాయుడు” అంటూ స్పాంటేనియస్‌గా చైతన్య “లేచి నుందోవడం” తాను చేసిన ఇంప్రొవైజేషన్. దాంతో మయసభలో MSR అయ్యాడు.
ఈ ఇంప్రొవైజేషన్స్ షూట్ మొత్తం కొనసాగాయి. ఆదీ చైతన్యకి చాలా కంఫర్ట్ ఇచ్చాడు, ఇద్దరూ కలసి షాట్ సెటప్ అయ్యేలోపు సీన్స్ రిహార్సల్ చేసేవాళ్లు. వారు నిజజీవితంలో ఫ్రెండ్స్ కావడం కూడా చాలా హెల్ప్ అయ్యింది.
రెండు ఇంప్రొవైజేషన్ ఎగ్జాంపుల్స్:
1. పాలిటిక్స్‌లోకి ప్రవేశించే ఫేస్ లో మెల మెల్లగా ఎడమ చేత్తో తను బిల్డ్ చేసిన జెస్చర్స్ పాత్రకి చాలా అథెంటిసిటీ తీసుకొచ్చాయి.
2. మూడవ ఎపిసోడ్‌లో కన్‌స్ట్రక్షన్ బిల్డింగ్ బాంబ్ బ్లాస్ట్‌కి ముందు, జీప్ టైర్‌లో ఎయిర్ చెక్ చేస్తున్న చిన్న యాక్షన్, తరువాత డైనమైట్ వైర్ గుర్తించడం—ఈ డీటెయిల్ సీన్‌కి మరింత రియలిసం ఇచ్చింది.
Mayasabha విజయం చైతన్య లో ఉన్న అంబిషియస్ సౌల్‌కి ఎంతో బలాన్నివ్చింది. ఇకముందు ఇంకా గొప్ప అవకాశాలు రావాలని ఆశిస్తున్నాం.
ధైర్యం, సహనం, ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం కూడా గలిపిన కథ చైతన్య కథ. ఇండస్ట్రీ ఎంత అనిశ్చితమైనదైనా, స్టడీగా ముందుకు వెళ్తే, ఓ అండర్‌డాగ్ కూడా లీడింగ్ మ్యాన్ అవ్వచ్చు అని చెప్పే కథ.
