Megastar Chiranjeevi, who recently voiced his concerns on X over degrading and morphed videos targeting artists, has taken the issue forward by meeting Honourable Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji today in Hyderabad. Mega Powerstar Ram Charan accompanied Chiranjeevi Garu and also met the Union Home Minister.

Chiranjeevi sought the appointment to personally explain the misuse of artificial intelligence and deepfake technologies, highlighting the serious threat they pose to artists’ rights, dignity and creative content. Taking his concerns beyond social media, he sought stronger safeguards and strict action against such misuse on behalf of the film fraternity.

Shri Amit Shah heard the concerns with understanding and assured Chiranjeevi that the Government would examine the matter urgently and work towards stronger safeguards and strict penalties. He advised the submission of a written representation and entrusted Shri G. Kishan Reddy Garu with coordinating the matter.

Expressing gratitude for the Union Home Minister’s response, Chiranjeevi described the assurance as an encouraging step for the film fraternity and expressed hope that it would lead to meaningful protections soon.

కళాకారులను లక్ష్యంగా చేసుకుని అసభ్యకరమైన, మార్ఫింగ్ చేసిన వీడియోలను రూపొందించడంపై ఇటీవల ఎక్స్‌ వేదికగా తన ఆందోళనను వ్యక్తం చేసిన మెగాస్టార్ చిరంజీవి.. ఈ అంశంపై మరో కీలక అడుగు వేశారు. ఈ రోజు హైదరాబాద్‌లో గౌరవ కేంద్ర హోంమంత్రి శ్రీ అమిత్ షా గారిని కలిసి, ఏఐ దుర్వినియోగం, డీప్‌ఫేక్ సమస్యలను వివరించారు. ఈ భేటీలో చిరంజీవి గారితో పాటు రామ్ చరణ్ కూడా పాల్గొన్నారు.

ఆర్టిఫిషియల్ ఇంటెలిజెన్స్, డీప్‌ఫేక్ టెక్నాలజీలను దుర్వినియోగం చేస్తున్న తీరును స్వయంగా వివరించేందుకు చిరంజీవి ఈ భేటీకి అపాయింట్‌మెంట్ కోరారు. ఈ సాంకేతికతల దుర్వినియోగం కళాకారుల హక్కులు, గౌరవం, క్రియేటివ్ కంటెంట్‌కు ముప్పుగా మారుతోందని ఆయన వివరించారు. ఈ సమస్యను కేవలం సోషల్ మీడియా వేదికకే పరిమితం చేయకుండా, చిత్ర పరిశ్రమ తరఫున ఇటువంటి దుర్వినియోగాన్ని అరికట్టేందుకు మరింత పటిష్టమైన రక్షణ చర్యలు, కఠినమైన శిక్షలు అమలు చేయాలని కోరారు.

చిరంజీవి ఆందోళనలను సానుకూలంగా అర్థం చేసుకున్న కేంద్ర హోంమంత్రి శ్రీ అమిత్ షా గారు.. ఈ అంశాన్ని ప్రభుత్వం అత్యవసరంగా పరిశీలిస్తుందని, మరింత పటిష్టమైన రక్షణ చర్యలు, కఠినమైన శిక్షలు అమలు చేసే దిశగా కృషి చేస్తుందని హామీ ఇచ్చారు. ఈ విషయంపై లిఖితపూర్వకంగా వినతిపత్రం సమర్పించాలని సూచించిన ఆయన, ఈ వ్యవహారాన్ని సమన్వయం చేసే బాధ్యతను శ్రీ జి. కిషన్ రెడ్డి గారికి అప్పగించారు.
