After superstar Mahesh Babu, it was the turn of decorated filmmaker SS Rajamouli to sing praises about Chai Bisket’s Mem Famous, which released last Friday. The star director took to Twitter on Monday to say that he had a whale of time watching the film in a theatre and predicted that the male face of the film, Sumanth Prabhas, has a bright career ahead of him.

“After a long time thoroughly enjoyed a film in the theatre. Watch out for this guy Sumanth. He has a bright future both as an actor and director. All the characters were nicely etched and actors performed naturally. Especially Anji mama. Highly recommend it to everyone. Youth ni encourage cheyyale. Dham dham cheyyoddhu. #MemFamous,” wrote Rajamouli, much to the delight of the Mem Famous team.

Reacting to Rajamouli’s tweet, Sharath Chandra, one of the founders of Chai Bisket, had this to say: “Sirrr!!! Idi kalaa nijamaa annattundi What a pleasant surprise!!!! We are overjoyed and on cloud 9 sir. Means a lottt - no looking back for our young team after these words of encouragement from you sir.”

Featuring fairly new faces like Mani Aegurla, Mourya Chowdary, Saarya, Siri Raasi, Kiran Macha, Anji Mama, Narendra Ravi and Shiva Nanda in key roles, Mem Famous, a coming-of-age story set in rural Telangana landscape, has been written and directed by Sumanth Prabhas. It has grossed Rs 1.1 crore worldwide on day one, and is continuing to run to decent houses. The makers, on the other hand, are promoting the film aggressively post release as well.

చాయ్ బిస్కెట్ ఫిల్మ్స్, లహరి ఫిలింస్ సంయుక్తంగా నిర్మించిన 'మేమ్ ఫేమస్' చిత్రం సక్సెస్ ఫుల్ గా రన్ అవుతోంది. ఈ చిత్రం ఫస్ట్ వీకెండ్ లో ప్రపంచవ్యాప్తంగా రూ. 3.1 కోట్లు గ్రాస్ వసూలు చేసింది.

తన గత చిత్రం ఆర్ఆర్ఆర్ తో అస్కార్ అవార్డును గెలుచుకున్న దర్శకధీరుడు ఎస్‌ఎస్‌ రాజమౌళి 'మేమ్ ఫేమస్‌' చిత్రాన్ని థియేటర్ లో వీక్షించి చిత్ర యూనిట్ అభినందించారు. నటుడు, దర్శకుడు సుమంత్ ప్రభాస్‌ కు ఉజ్వల భవిష్యత్తు ఉంటుందని ఆయన అభిప్రాయపడ్డారు. మిగతా నటీ నటులందరినీ, ముఖ్యంగా అంజి మామ ను కూడా ప్రశంసించారు.
