The trailer of Chai Bisket Films next venture, Mem Famous, was launched by Natural star Nani at Sandhya theatre in Hyderabad on Wednesday. And like the teaser which was released nearly 50 days ago, the trailer promises to be a laugh riot with something to take home for the youth.
Running over two minutes and 37 seconds, the trailer introduces three reckless youth, well into their 20s, who have been chaddi buddies since childhood. The setting is a rural village in Telangana. They wander in the village without any purpose, enjoying life to the fullest while often getting into brawls, much to the frustration of their parents. They are looked down upon by the village as well. Of the three, two have love interests of their own. The story takes an emotional turn when they encounter the reality called life and their efforts to prove their worth next seems to form the crux of the story.
Writer-director Sumanth Prabhas, who also played the main lead, overall, packs the trailer with hues of friendship, love, side-splitting humour and conflicts that are often associated with love stories in a rural setting. Also, for a first-time feature film director, he manages to extract absolutely natural performances from his cast.
Backed by Anurag Reddy, Sharath Chandra, Chandru Manoharan, Mem Famous, featuring Mani Aegurla, Mourya Chowdary, Saarya, Siri Raasi, Kiran Macha, Anji, Narendra Ravi and Muralidhar Goud, is a Kalyan Nayak musical. It opens in cinemas on May 26.
