With its multiple glimpses unveiled earlier this summer, Mirai, starring Teja Sajja and Manchu Manoj, has caught the attention of cinegoers. While nothing has come out ever since with the makers preferring to shoot in silence, we hear the film is close to 60 percent wrapped up so far.

A source close to the development tells us, “The film’s new schedule concluded yesterday in Hyderabad. It lasted little over a week. The team has shot an action block in this leg. The next leg will begin on November 6th or 7th in Hyderabad and will go on for 15-20 days. The team is keen on wrapping up the film by December end.”

The source added that the action part is coming out well, with the makers optimistic that it is something that the Telugu audience hasn’t seen before.

Mirai is based on King Ashoka and his secret 9, with Teja playing a Super Yodha whose sole responsibility is to protect the nice sacred scriptures, whereas Manoj plays Black Sword, a skilled swordsman who is on a mission to take control of the nine scriptures that could transform a person into a God, setting the stage for an epic clash between good and evil.

Karthik Gattamneni, who is directing the film, has also penned the film’s screenplay alongside Manibabu Karanam, who worked on the director’s Eagle as well. TG Vishwa Prasad of People Media Factory is producing the film which is slotted for a release next summer in 2D and 3D formats, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Bengali, Marathi and Chinese languages.
