To all the Nandamuri fans who have been waiting with bated breath on Mokshagna Teja’s entry into filmdom for a long time, here is some good news, finally! On the sidelines of 53rd International Film Festival of India in Goa, where Akhanda was screened in the Indian Panorama section, Balayya spoke to a Telugu news channel. When the journalist quizzed Balayya about Mokshagna’s debut, the question drew a wide smile on the actor’s face as he answered, “Next year.”

To a question on whether his favorite director Boyapati Sreenu– with whom he had delivered gangbuster flicks like Simha, Legend and Akhanda– will slide behind the camera to introduce Mokshagna or someone else, Balayya responded, “It will be decided by God.”

The actor, who is presently awaiting the release of Veera Simha Reddy with Gopichand Malineni, also opened up on Akhanda 2. Boyapati dropped a hint about a possible sequel towards the end of Akhanda. “We will do it at any cost. The subject is locked and ready. The only question is when,” Balayya declared.
