Those who know Sithara Entertainments chief S Naga Vamsi will tell you that he holds the Nandamuri family in high regard and very close to his heart. After working with Jr NTR whom he fondly addresses as Tarak anna, he came close to working with Nata Simham Nandamuri Balakrishna in 2021. But the project didn’t materialize due to various reasons. Nonetheless, he wasn’t made to wait longer as Balayya, who had been scrupulous about his choices after Akhanda, agreed to do his 109th for Sithara.
The untitled project, with Bobby Kolli at the helm, was launched on Saturday to coincide with Balayya’s 63rd birthday. What’s more interesting is the fact that it will be Sithara’s 25th assignment as a production house. Within a short span of time, Sithara, associating with good content, emerged as one of the leading production houses of Telugu cinema. Vamsi took to Twitter on Saturday night to express his admiration and how it is a dream come true moment for him to produce Balayya’s film. “Always wanted to work with him from the day i've started working in TFI. I am overwhelmingly happy as it is a dream-come-true to be producing our landmark 25th film with him. It becomes even more special for launching it on his birthday!” he wrote.
He added, “Thank you so much sir for the opportunity. Wishing Balayya Babu garu very good health and many more blockbuster years ahead!”
A joint production venture between Sithara, Fortune Four Cinemas and Srikara Studios, #NBK109 will go in front of the cameras after the actor completes his on-sets film Bhagavanth Kesari with Anil Ravipudi. On Saturday, Sithara also revealed a concept poster announcing the launch of the mass action-entertainer, which has a tagline – the world knows him but no one knows his world. The film will sail into cinemas early 2024. Anirudh Ravichander is tipped to compose music for it.
