64th National films awards are announced today. Crossover film Pelli Choopulu which got both critical acclaim and box office success (collected over a million dollars in USA) has bagged two awards (best Telugu film and best dialogues). Shatamanam Bhavathi has won best popular film for providing wholesome entertainment award. Raju Sundaram’s choreography for NTR in Janatha Garage has won best choreography award. It’s nice to see 3 Telugu films winning awards at national level!!
Bilingual 24 starring Suriya and Samantha and directed by Vikram Kumar has won three awards - Best cinematography, best production design and best vfx.
