With Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, Naveen Polishetty has delivered a hat-trick of hits at the box office and one would’ve expected him to start his next by now as it’s been more than 10 months since his last release. However, it wasn’t meant to be. Also, he has not been seen in any events of late, leading to the concern of his fans. As doubts cropped up about why he hasn’t started a new venture yet and where he has been, Naveen spelled out the reason on Wednesday.

Taking to X, the actor said he recently suffered multiple fractures in his right hand and injured his leg as well, barring him from actively engaging with his craft. “It has been a tough and painful time for me, especially creatively, as I can’t shoot films and connect with you through my craft. Sorry that I am not able to bring you films as fast as I would like to because of this injury,” he said.

He added, “Recovery has been slow and very tough but I am working closely with medical professionals towards complete recovery so I can perform at my energetic best for you all. While this may take a few more months, I am determined to come back stronger and healthier than ever before.”

Further, he said, “The good news is I am very excited for my upcoming films. The development work is going on in full swing every day and I will be shooting them post full recovery. Please trust updates only from me.”

On a concluding note, he said “I can’t wait to be back on screen and entertain you guys once again.”
