After an impressive first film, Swathi Muthyam, Bellamkonda Ganesh is out to woo the audience again with his sophomore venture, Nenu Student Sir! The film’s trailer was launched on Sunday. Debutant Rakhi Uppalapati directed it from a story by lyricist-turned-director Chaitanya Krishna, while Naandhi fame Satish Varma is the producer.
The trailer begins with Subbu (played by Ganesh) purchasing a brand new iphone, which her mother names as Buchi Babu. He takes a liking to the name. He soon is swept off his feet by college mate (Avantika Dassani) and as romance takes centre stage an incident turns his life upside down and he is framed for a murder which he didn’t commit. The police, however, are looking for a scapegoat and firm up the case on him by depositing 1 crore 75 lakhs in his account. From one of his confidants, Subbu learns that it’s a big conspiracy to frame him and some big names, including politicians are behind it. How he gets to the bottom of it with the help of his college friends and clears his name seems to form the crux of the story. The racy screenplay is aided by the background score of Mahati Sagar and sound design.
Also featuring Samuthirakani, Sunil, Srikanth Iyengar, Auto Ramprasad, Charandeep, Pramodhini and Ravi Saiteja, the film bows out in theatres on June 2nd.
