Launched last month in Hyderabad, the principal photography of Jr NTR’s next with KGF franchise helmer Prashanth Neel will kick off in October. Speaking to media in Tamil Nadu as a part of Devara promotions, Tarak said Neel will start shooting the film from October 21st. “He will begin filming episodes that don’t involve me. He will work for about 40 days starting from October 21st. I will join the sets in January 2025,” the actor stated.

The untitled project, which is a first collaboration between Tarak and Neel, has been in development for long. It was supposed to roll last year itself but due to the pre-existing commitments of the actor and the director, it had been rescheduled time and again. Mythri Movie Makers is producing it along with NTR Arts. This will be Mythri’s second association with Tarak after the blockbuster Janatha Garage.

There is speculation that the film might be titled Dragon. Pre-production has been ongoing for several months, and the film is touted to be a high-octane commercial entertainer with Tarak playing a powerful role. It will storm into cinemas on January 9th, 2026. Neel’s frequent collaborator Ravi Basrur has been roped in for music, while the details of other crew and cast are yet to be disclosed.
