The concept teaser of Paarijathaparvam, featuring Chaitanya Rao, Harsha Chemudu and Shraddha Das, was unveiled by new-age filmmaker Tharun Bhascker in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The film is written and directed by Santosh Kambhampati, while Mahidhar Reddy and Devesh have jointly produced it under Vanamali Creations.
Roughly one minute in length, the teaser opens with an interaction between characters played by Chaitanya Rao and Harsha Chemudu. A disgruntled Harsha later asks, ‘What’s the way forward? The former, pointing fingers at a cinema hall, replies ‘kidnap’. With the help of another man, the trio breaks into a home and kidnaps a young girl while multiple supporting characters like Shraddha Das, Sunil, Srikanth Iyyengar, Surekha Vani and Sameer flit in and out of the narrative. Chaitanya and Harsha are hell-bent on the kidnap working to their advantage, while the director with the help of a background song emphasizes that kidnap is a no mean task; it’s an art. The teaser ends with a funny conversation between Sunil and Harsha, wherein the former demands the latter’s maid than money.
Overall, the concept teaser prepares the audience that it revolves around a kidnap crisis and how two hapless men are behind it. While we’ve seen such plots countless times before, with two proven performers like Chaitanya and Harsha leading the cast, let’s hope that the makers have dished out a full-length laugh riot. Fingers crossed!
