Director Praveen Kandregula of Cinema Bandi fame is coming up with another exciting project titled Paradha. The makers of The Family Man series, Raj & DK, are backing this film. Anupama Parameswaran plays the lead, alongside Darshana Rajendran and Sangeetha in key roles. The film is produced by Vijay Donkada, along with Srinivasulu PV and Sridhar Makkuva under the Anand Media banner. The teaser, trailer, and songs have already created strong buzz. Paradha is set to release in theatres on August 22. On this occasion, producer Vijay Donkada shared details about the film at a press meet.

Why take off with Paradha?
“I have known Praveen since Cinema Bandi. After launching Anand Media banner, we initially planned a film with Dulquer Salmaan, but due to various reasons it didn’t happen. For the first film under this banner, we wanted a story that would be memorable. That’s when Praveen narrated the idea of Paradha. I loved it. This film will definitely be remembered. Commercial success is up to the audience, but as a story, it truly stands out. It will be a very new attempt in Telugu cinema.”

Is it based on a true story?
“No, Paradha is a fictional story. However, it is inspired by a real-life incident. What that inspiration is, we won’t reveal now — you’ll discover it when you watch the film.”

On casting Anupama Parameswaran
“Both the director and I felt Anupama was the perfect fit right from the start. She immediately said yes after hearing the story. She connected deeply with it. After watching the first copy, she became emotional, saying this would be the best film of her career. She owned the film and promoted it wholeheartedly. Darshana and Sangeetha’s roles are also superb, and Sangeetha garu gave great support.”

Release in Malayalam
“Dulquer’s team watched the film, and he is releasing it in Malayalam. I am confident it will receive great response there as well.”

పరదా కథని టేకాఫ్ చేయడానికి కారణం?
-డైరెక్టర్ ప్రవీణ్ నాకు సినిమా బండి నుంచి తెలుసు. ఆనంద మీడియా బ్యానర్ పెట్టిన తర్వాత మేము దుల్కర్ సల్మాన్ తో కలిసి ఒక సినిమా చేయాలనుకున్నాం. కానీ కొన్ని కారణాల వలన అది కుదరలేదు. అయితే ఈ బ్యానర్ లో తొలి సినిమాగా ఒక గుర్తుండిపోయే కథ చెప్పాలని భావించాము. అప్పుడు ప్రవీణ్ పరదా ఐడియా చెప్పారు. చాలా నచ్చింది. తప్పకుండా ఇది గుర్తుండిపోయే సినిమా అవుతుంది. కమర్షియల్ గా ఎంత చేస్తుందనేది ఆడియన్స్ డిసైడ్ చేస్తారు. కథగా మాత్రం నాకు చాలా బాగా నచ్చింది. తెలుగులో చాలా కొత్త అటెంప్ట్ అవుతుంది.

ఇది నిజంగా జరిగిన కథ?
-కాదండి. పరదా ఫిక్షనల్ స్టోరీ. అయితే ఈ కథ మొదలవడానికి ఒక ట్రూ ఇన్స్పిరేషన్ ఉంది. అయితే అది ఏంటి అనేది ఇప్పుడే రివిల్ చేయడం లేదు. మీరు సినిమాలో చూసినప్పుడు తెలుస్తుంది.

ఈ కథలో అనుపమ గారిని తీసుకోవాలని ఆలోచన ఎవరిది?
-నేను, డైరెక్టర్ కలిసి తీసుకున్న నిర్ణయం. ఈ కథ అనుకున్నప్పుడే అనుపమ పర్ఫెక్ట్ ఆప్ట్ గా ఉంటుందని మేమిద్దరం అనుకున్నాం. అనుపమ కథ విన్న వెంటనే ఓకే చెప్పారు.

-కథ వినగానే చాలా కనెక్ట్ అయ్యారు. ఫస్ట్ కాపీ చూసి ఈ సినిమా తన కెరీర్ లో బెస్ట్ సినిమా అవుతుందని చాలా ఎమోషనల్ అయ్యారు. చాలా ఓన్ చేసుకొని ప్రమోషన్స్ చేశారు. అలాగే దర్శన, సంగీత గారి పాత్రలు కూడా అద్భుతంగా వుంటాయి. సంగీత గారు చాలా మంచి సపోర్ట్ ఇచ్చారు.

- దుల్కర్ టీం ఈ సినిమా చూశారు. మలయాళంలో దుల్కర్ రిలీజ్ చేస్తున్నారు. తప్పకుండా ఈ సినిమా మలయాళం లో కూడా చాలా మంచి రెస్పాన్స్ తెచ్చుకుంటుందని నమ్మకం ఉంది.

పరదాపై ఎలాంటి నమ్మకంతో ఉన్నారు?
-ఈరోజుల్లో కంటెంట్ నచ్చితేనే ఏ సినిమా అయినా చూస్తున్నారు. ఈ సినిమా కథ చాలా కొత్తగా ఉండబోతుంది. అలాగే ప్రతి సీన్, క్యారెక్టర్ బిహేవియర్ కొత్తగా ఉంటుంది. డిఫరెంట్ సినిమాని ప్రేక్షకులు చూస్తారనే దానికి ఈ సినిమా పర్ఫెక్ట్ గా మ్యాచ్ అవుతుంది.

ఈ సినిమాని చాలామందికి చూపించి వాళ్ళ ఫీడ్ బ్యాక్ తీసుకుని ఎడిట్ చేశారని విన్నాం?
-అవునండి. అది నేను సురేష్ బాబు గారి దగ్గర నేర్చుకున్నాను. ఈ సినిమాని చాలామందికి చూపించి వాళ్ళ ఫీడ్ బ్యాక్ తీసుకోవడం జరిగింది. అలాగే సురేష్ బాబు గారు, రానా గారు చూశారు. చాలా వాల్యుబుల్ సజెషన్స్ ఇచ్చారు. వాళ్ళ సజెషన్స్ తీసుకున్న తర్వాత సినిమా ఇంకా బెటర్ అయ్యింది.

డిఓపి మృదుల్ గురించి?
-మృదుల్ అద్భుతమైన టెక్నీషియన్. ఇది ఫిమేల్ సెంట్రిక్ సినిమా కాబట్టి తన సెన్సిబిలిటీస్ కూడా చాలా హెల్ప్ అయ్యాయి. తను చాలా హార్డ్ వర్కర్. ప్యాకప్ అయ్యేంతవరకు ఫోన్ కూడా చూడదు. అంత ఫోకస్ గా వర్క్ చేస్తుంది. మనాలి, లడక్. ధర్మశాల, ఢిల్లీ లాంటి లొకేషన్స్ లో సినిమాని షూట్ చేసాం. సినిమాలో చాలా మంచి విజువల్ ఎక్స్పీరియన్స్ ఉంటుంది.

-గోపిసుందర్ ఈ కథ విన్ షాక్ అయ్యారు. ఆయన కంటెంట్ చాలా కనెక్ట్ అయ్యారు. అద్భుతమైన మ్యూజిక్ ఇచ్చారు.

పరదా కథ గురించి ఒక లైన్లో చెప్పాలంటే?
-పరదా కల్చర్ ని ఫాలో అవుతున్న ఓ అమ్మాయి. ఆ అమ్మాయికి ఊర్లో ఒక సమస్య వస్తుంది. ఆ సమస్యకి ఆ అమ్మాయి పరిష్కారం ఎలా వెతుక్కుంది అనేది కథ.

అప్ కమింగ్ ప్రాజెక్ట్స్ ఏమిటి
-రెండు స్క్రిప్స్ జరుగుతున్నాయి. ప్రవీణ్ తో ఒక స్క్రిప్ జరుగుతుంది. రిలేషన్ షిప్ థ్రిల్లర్. చాలా ఇంట్రెస్టింగ్ గా ఉంటుంది.
