Speaking about the recent controversy involving Allu Arjun for the first time, AP Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan observed that someone from the team of Pushpa 2 could’ve gone to the residence of the deceased Revathi’s family and offered them solace. “Not necessarily Allu Arjun, someone from the production-- the producers or the director- could’ve gone to the family and said that we share your grief. The episode would not have erupted like the way it did had they done it,” the minister noted on Monday.
He opined that adequate arrangements should have been made for Allu Arjun’s theatre visit. “The thing is if you don’t acknowledge fans' love by waving, then they will assume you are proud,” he stated, coming to the defense of the icon star.
Alluding to Allu Arjun, Pawan stated that the actor should have visited the family but then he was carrying the burden of someone passing away because of his visit. “He or his team should have gone to the family and stated that a grave mishap has happened without their direct involvement and apologized. They could’ve gone to a temple and prayed for the departed soul. There are many ways to say sorry. It is not right to blame Allu Arjun alone. A film is a work of the team and the issue here should have been handled by the team. Over here, Allu Arjun had to face everything and I didn’t feel it was right.”
Pawan felt that Revanth Reddy would have him arrested as well if he was in a similar position like that of Allu Arjun. He stressed that Revanth didn’t have Allu Arjun arrested because the actor forgot the CM’s name at an event. “It’s a lame reason. Revanth Reddy is beyond that. He stood by the Telugu industry. He gave the permission for benefit shows and hike for ticket fares,” Pawan reminded.
