Power star Pawan Kalyan is getting busy again in films. There has been a lot of ambiguity surrounding his next one once he wraps up his present assignment, Hari Hara Veera Mallu but it has been cleared for once and all. He hasn’t committed to do just one film but two. Of the two, one was announced on Sunday. It will be helmed by Run Raja Run and Saaho fame Sujeeth Sign, with DVV Danayya, who is fresh off the monstrous success of RRR, set to produce it under DVV Entertainments.
While chatter about this project has been going around for over three months with some reports claiming that Sujeeth was tweaking Theri remake to suit Pawan, it has been finally confirmed that it’s an original screenplay. Although the makers have refrained from revealing anything about the genre, it is believed the film belongs to the gangster genre, with Hyderabad set to host the shoot. “We are extremely elated to associate with @PawanKalyan Garu, for our next production Directed by @SujeethSign, DOP by @DOP007. #FirestormIsComing,” read a post from DVV Entertainment.
Yes, @DOP007 is Ravi K Chandran who earlier shot Pawan’s Bheemla Nayak. “Glad to be a part of this very big journey once again with @PawanKalyangaru .. Dynamic young Director @sujeethsign‘s original script and the fantastic producer#D. V. V. Danayya @DVVMovies.. can’t wait to start,” the acclaimed lensman posted on Twitter.
The other project that Pawan has committed to is with Harish Shankar. In development for a long time, this Mythri Movie Makers production will be launched in Hyderabad before December 14. While it remains to be seen whether it is the same old Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh or Harish is working on a new script, fans of the Power star though are a happy bunch seeing their favourite star sign multiple projects and which are not remakes.
Interestingly, like Harish, Sujeeth is also a die-hard fan of the Power star. There’s a popular video of him coming out of a Gabbar Singh show on day one and screaming ‘Power star Power star’ after having a ball in the theatre.
