Power Star Pawan Kalyan gifting a Land Rover Defender to OG director Sujeeth has become a topic of keen interest in Telugu cinema circles and among movie lovers. The background behind this gesture is even more intriguing.

Many assumed that the Defender was gifted following the grand success of OG. However, the real reason dates back to the final stages of the film’s shoot. At that time, one crucial schedule had to be filmed in Japan. Due to budget constraints, the production house could not approve this overseas schedule. Sujeeth strongly believed that shooting those scenes would bring completeness to the film. Determined to make it happen, he went a step further—Sujeeth sold his own Land Rover Defender to fund the Japan schedule. With that money, he traveled to Japan and filmed the scenes he felt were essential.

This incident came to Pawan Kalyan’s notice during the dubbing phase. He was deeply impressed by Sujeeth’s dedication, passion, and sense of responsibility towards the film. Moved by the fact that the director sold his own vehicle for the sake of the movie, Pawan Kalyan decided to gift him the same model— the Land Rover Defender—once again.

That is why the Land Rover Defender was presented to Sujeeth. Pawan Kalyan will also be paying the EMIs for the vehicle.

శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ ‘ఓ.జి.’ దర్శకుడు సుజిత్ కు ల్యాండ్ రోవర్ డిఫెండర్ బహుమతిగా అందించడం తెలుగు చిత్రసీమలోనూ, సినీ ప్రియుల్లో ఆసక్తికరంగా ఉంది. ఇందుకుగల నేపథ్యం మరింత ఆసక్తికరమైనది.

‘ఓ.జి.’ ఘన విజయం సాధించిన క్రమంలో డిఫెండర్ ఇచ్చారు అనుకొంటున్నారు. అయితే ‘ఓ.జి.’ చిత్రీకరణ చివరి దశలో ఒక షెడ్యూల్ ను జపాన్ లో చేపట్టాల్సి వచ్చింది. బడ్జెట్ పరిమితుల మూలంగా చిత్ర నిర్మాణ సంస్థ అందుకు అనుమతించలేదు. ఆ సన్నివేశాలు చిత్రీకరిస్తే చిత్రానికి పరిపూర్ణత వస్తుందని సుజిత్ భావించారు. ఆ ఉద్దేశంతో జపాన్ షెడ్యూల్ కోసం సుజిత్ తనకున్న డిఫెండర్ వాహనాన్ని విక్రయించేశారు. ఆ మొత్తంతో అక్కడకు వెళ్ళి తనకు కావల్సిన సన్నివేశాలు చిత్రించారు.

ఈ విషయం శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ కు డబ్బింగ్ సమయంలో తెలిసింది. సినిమాపట్ల ఉన్న సుజిత్ కున్న అంకిత భావం, తపన, బాధ్యత మరింత ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. సినిమా కోసం తనకున్న వాహనాన్ని విక్రయించేసిన దర్శకుడికి తిరిగి ఆ మోడల్ వాహనాన్నే అందించాలని శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ నిర్ణయించుకున్నారు. అందుకోసమే ల్యాండ్ రోవర్ డిఫెండర్ ను అందించారు. ఆ వాహనానికి సంబంధించిన ఈ.ఎం.ఐ.లు శ్రీ పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ చెల్లిస్తారు.
