Imanvi, the lead actress in the upcoming big-budget Telugu film PrabhasHanu, has broken her silence and issued a strongly worded statement refuting baseless allegations linking her family to the Pakistani military. The rumors, which circulated on certain online platforms and social media accounts, claimed ties between her family and Pakistan’s defense establishment—a claim she called “entirely fabricated and malicious.”
In a detailed statement shared on her official handles, Imanvi expressed deep sorrow over the tragic Pahalgam incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the victims and their families. She condemned the violence and emphasized her lifelong commitment to spreading love and light through art.
“As someone whose mission has always been to spread light and love through art, I hope to see a day soon where we can all come together as one,” she said.
The actress, who was born in Los Angeles, clarified her background unequivocally. “I was born in the USA and am a proud US citizen. My parents legally immigrated to the United States when they were young and later became American citizens,” she wrote.
She strongly denied the rumors linking her family to the Pakistani military, calling them “complete fabrications spread by online trolls to stir hate.” Imanvi criticized reputed media outlets and social media users for echoing these allegations without proper verification.
“What is especially disappointing is that legitimate news outlets, journalists, and those on social media failed to investigate their source material and instead have simply repeated these slanderous statements,” she said.
