With Prabhas’ first look from Project K– where he sports a metal armour, dreadlocks and a thick beard and is shown in a kneeling martial stance after appearing to have just pounded the ground with his fist– drawing a mixed response from fans and netizens alike, production house Vyjayanthi Movies on Thursday dropped a comic-art version into the world of the film, while simultaneously announcing that the first glimpse will be out in India on Friday.
In the art version, we can see an evil rise in the darkest of the dark days of Kaliyuga after all hope was lost. Evil is hell-bent on destroying all Gods and making man worse than an animal. As he demands an old man with a kid in his arms to salute him, the latter resists, saying he will rather die than saluting him. The evil says the old man is left with no choice as no one is coming to save him. But lo and behold! Prabhas arrives at the scene wearing his armoured suit and the game changes now.
The cast and crew of Project K are right now in the US participating in the ongoing San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). As a part of the opening night at SDCC today, exclusive footage from the film will be shown to the fans, while the following day, the cast and crew of the film will host a panel discussion, titled ‘This is Project K: First Glimpse of India’s Mytho-Sci-fi Epic’ along with the announcement of film’s title, teaser and release date.
Featuring an eclectic cast comprising Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani, Project K, a sci-fi drama which intertwines futuristic elements with Hindu mythology, is a Santosh Narayanan musical, and is scheduled to release next year.
