While the new schedule of Icon star Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rule commenced yesterday in Visakhapatnam, where it will be shot for 19 more days, film’s leading lady Rashmika Mandanna will be joining the unit next month. The slender beauty, who is currently enjoying the praise she is receiving for her turn in Hindi flick Mission Majnu, will be reprising her part Srivalli again in the sequel.

Speaking to FC Front Row, Rashmika said as actors their performances are going to change in the second part as they now understand the world they are living in better. “The second part is something much more than the first part and you're like "wow, now that's something fabulous!

"At the same time, I think all of us actors from Pushpa 1 have seen our work in the first half, and now we're much clearer on what kind of a world we're living in. So I think all our performances are going to change. I think the performances are going to get more intense in the second half. And yeah guys, it's going to be amazing,” she stated.

Written and directed by Sukumar and bankrolled by Mythri Movie Makers, Pushpa: The Rule - Part 2 will continue to follow the life of Pushpa Raj, tracing his rise in the red sandalwood smuggling syndicate, while also focusing on his tiff with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekawat (played by Malayalam big cheese Fahadh Faasil) who is keen to settle scores with him after being humiliated towards the end of the first part. Jagapathi Babu is the latest addition to the cast of the film, which is already stacked up with the likes of Sunil, Anasuya, Jagadeesh, Dhananjaya and Rao Ramesh – all of whom will be reprising their parts from the first part.
