And finally it’s a wrap! In the making for a long time, the filming of icon star Allu Arjun-fronted Pushpa: The Rule has been completed on Tuesday. While the initial plan was to complete the proceedings yesterday itself with the filming of a song, it seems Sukumar took an extra day to finish a scene.
“LAST DAY LAST SHOT OF PUSHPA . 5 years JOURNEY of PUSHPA completed . What a journey,” Allu Arjun posted on X on Tuesday along with a picture from the sets.
Set to release globally on December 5, the film was in the news for wrong reasons lately. With multiple composers like Thaman, Sam CS and Ajaneesh Loknath being handed over some scenes for re-recording due to reasons best known to the makers, original composer Devi Sri Prasad seemed a tad bit unhappy. It was evident when at an event in Chennai recently the Telugu composer took a dig at the film’s producers.
On the other hand, post-production works too are going on simultaneously. Our sources say despite the film being shot till the eleventh hour, there won’t be any delay in prints being dispatched.
On the promotional front, a massive pre-release event is being planned in Bengaluru on December 1. The makers were keen on an event in Hyderabad in the run up to the release but it seems they didn’t get the required permission. They are contemplating an event post release in the city.
Set in the backdrop of red sanders smuggling in the Seshachalam Hills of Andhra Pradesh, Pushpa: The Rule, as the name indicates, will see Pushpa’s reign as he encounters familiar names who try to block his rapid ascent. Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil and Anasuya are reprising their parts once again; with new additions include Jagapathi Babu and Saurabh Sachdeva. Mythri Movie Makers are producing the film.
