Mega power star Ram Charan on Friday was honoured by NDTV with the True Legend - Future of Young India Award. The actor flew down to the national capital to receive the award.
Charan’s honour comes in the wake of his dad megastar Chiranjeevi being honoured with ‘Indian Personality of the Year' at a glittering ceremony earlier this week in Goa by International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
Reacting to the NDTV’s honour, megastar Chiranjeevi said he was proud of his son.
“Nanna, Absolutely thrilled for you and proud, on winning the #TrueLegend - #FutureOfYoungIndia Award #NDTV Bravo!!! Way to go, dearest @AlwaysRamcharan - Appa & Amma,” the megastar posted on Friday night.
Speaking to NDTV later, Charan dedicated the award to his father’s journey and channelizing his (Chiru’s) fans' love to make society a better place. “If I was not his son, I would’ve spoken much more about the legend. It is his work that I’m taking forward and I hope to take it forward in a good way,” Charan pointed out.
When NDTV wanted to know if he was going to bring the Oscar with RRR, Charan stated, “I don’t care if I get it or anybody else gets it. I truly wish Mr. Rajamouli gets it. He deserves it for India.”
