The trailer of Krishna Vamsi’s long-in-the-making Rangamarthanda, headlined by Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, Brahmanandam, Shivatmika Rajasekhar, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Aadarsh Balakrishna and Rahul Sipligunj, is out.
Running over one minute 56 seconds, the trailer begins with stage artiste Raghava Rao (played by Prakash Raj), who has earned the moniker Rangamarthanda for his contributions in theatre, entering a worn out auditorium, clearly shaken. Going by the cut, the film seems to focus on his friendship with Brahmanandam, his bond with his children (played by Shivatmika and Aadarsh), wife (Ramya Krishna) and his differences with his daughter-in-law Anasuya. Brahmi, for a change, is playing a serious character after aeons and going by the looks of it, he seems to have aced it. Shivatmika too seems to have got a role with a lot of weight and with Krishna Vamsi at the helm, expect a thunderous turn from her. Overall, the trailer promises an emotional roller-coaster ride of a film bearing the signature Krishna Vamsi stamp on it.
Produced by Kalipu Madhu and S Venkat Reddy under Raja Shyamala Entertainments and Housefull Movies, the film is presented by Mythri Movie Makers. A maestro Ilaiyaraaja musical, it releases on March 22.
