Hyderabad
Recently, there was chatter that Kannada industry was contemplating to ban Rashmika Mandanna for being ungrateful to Kannada actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty’s production house that gave the actress her maiden break in Kannada. Opening about it on the sidelines of an event in Hyderabad recently, Rashmika said “so far I haven’t been banned.”
The actress has also been subjected to a lot of criticism by trolls who accused her of overlooking her Kannada roots after she failed to watch Kannada box-office blockbuster Kantara. “They asked me whether I watched the film in the first two-three days. I didn’t watch it at that time. I watched it now and left a message to the team. They thanked me back. The world doesn’t know what happens on the inside. We can’t always put a camera on our personal lives and show it. Also, we are not the kind of people who will release messages. So what people say about personal lives doesn’t matter. Professionally, if they have something we will take it and work on it,” she declared.
Rashmika recently travelled to Russia to promote Pushpa, where it was released. Speaking about it, she said she was surprised by the response the film got there. “We’ve got a good response. We’ve put in an effort to speak a little Russian there. It worked out well. There was an outpouring of love from the people there,” she pointed out.
Rashmika, who is looking forward to the release of Varasudu up next, is excited about starting Pushpa: The Rule. “Suku sir is writing the story and everything. Our looks will change a bit. I’m very excited. Let’s see,” she concluded.
