As Ravi Teja, who is fresh off the successes of Dhamaka and Waltair Veerayya, turned a year older today, the makers of his ambitious Ravanasura dropped the first glimpse from the film Thursday.

“DEEP DOWN INSIDE, WE ALL HAVE A VILLAIN WAITING TO BE UNLEASHED,” director Sudheer Varma announced on Twitter, while unveiling the glimpse.

Playing over 46 seconds, the glimpse, without a dialogue, focuses on multiple crime incidents on young women before introducing Ravi Teja, who is seen lighting a cigar. The Mass Maharaja will be seen as an advocate in the film, written by Srikanth Vissa. Harshavardan Rameshwar’s skilful background score enhances the overall impact, giving the viewers a spooky feeling.

Anu Emmanuel, Megha Akash, Pujita Ponnada, Faria Abdullah and Daksha Nagarkar are playing the female leads in the film, an action thriller, while Sushanth will be seen in a crucial supporting role. Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj and Nithin Mehta round off the other supporting cast.

A joint production venture between Ravi Teja and Abhishek Nama, the makers also took the opportunity to announce April 7 as the release date. Bheems, whose music in Dhamaka did wonders, is composing the soundtrack for this film as well.
