A week after being nominated in five categories– Best Picture, Best Director, Best Foreign Language Film, Best Song for 'Naatu Naatu' and Best Visual Effects– at the 28th Annual Critics Choice Awards in the US, it was now the turn of UK Critics’ Circle to recognize the phenomena that RRR has turned out to be.

The period action drama has bagged two nominations– Best Foreign-Language Film of the Year and Technical Achievement Award (stunts) – at the 43rd annual London Critics’ Circle Film Awards, which is the UK’s longest-standing and most prestigious critics’ organization.

“Elated to share that #RRR is soaring high in the sky. #RRRmovie bagged 2 nominations at the @LondonCritics’ Circle Awards for - Best Foreign-Language Film of the Year - Technical Achievement Award (stunts) #RRRMovie,” tweeted production house DVV Entertainment on Wednesday evening.

RRR will be battling out with international cinema like Decision to Leave (South Korea), EO (Poland), The Quite Girl (Ireland) and Saint Omer (France) for the prized trophy.

Martin McDonagh’s dark tragicomedy The Banshees of Inisherin has led the nominations with nine nods, while After Sun nabbed eight. Everything Everywhere All at Once, The Fabelmans, Tar, Top Gun: Maverick and Living are also competing for the Film of the Year trophy.

The winners will be declared at a glittering ceremony at London’s May Fair Hotel on 5th February 2023.
