SS Rajamouli’s RRR, which was screened at the prestigious Los Angeles’s Chinese Theatre last October to a rousing reception, will be screened again at the same venue on January 9. This time around, the principal team of the film– Rajamouli, Jr NTR, Ram Charan and MM Keeravani– will be in attendance at the screening, which is organized as a part of Beyond Fest Initiative.

When the tickets for the screening were opened on Wednesday, they were sold out like hot cakes. All it took for the booking site to say the seats were filled to the brim was flat 98 seconds. Sharing the news, the official Twitter handle of Beyond Fest informed that this hasn't transpired for any Indian film before, terming it as “historic”. "It's official and it's historic. @RRRMovie sold out the @ChineseTheatres @IMAX in 98 seconds. There has never been a screening like this of an Indian film before because there has never been a film like RRR before. Thank you @ssrajamouli @tarak9999 @AlwaysRamCharan @mmkeeravaani (sic),” read their post.

In another post, the handle added that they will update if any tickets open up. “And thank you to everyone who bought tickets and we apologize to everyone who wasn't successful. We will have a standby line on the day to fill available seats & will post here if any tix open up.”

While one fan @Sai_Mohan_999 called the response to tickets as “Oora Mass”, another fan @roebotwriter said that he “can’t wait to shake the @ChineseTheatreswith a 900+ Naatu Naatu sequence. This is going to be insane.” Another fan Patrick had this to say: “TICKETS ACQUIRED! I’ll see the Beyond Fest family at the @ChineseTheatres next week for another pummeling of @RRRMovie. A million thank you’s to the @am_cinematheque and @BeyondFest for putting another incredible screening together. #Natunatu.”
