Already a part of anticipated projects like Game Changer and Matka, where he is playing supporting turns, actor Naveen Chandra has landed a key role in mass maharaja Ravi Teja’s landmark 75th film, idlebrain.com has learnt exclusively. The project marks the directorial debut of writer Bhanu Bogavarapu, who shot to fame as the story and screenplay writer of the super hit Samajavaragamana, and it is on sets in Hyderabad as we speak.

A source close to the development tells us that Naveen is on board to play the principal antagonist in #RT75, which is a joint production venture between Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. Although the details surrounding his role are under lock and key, the source adds, “Naveen will be seen in a rude, rough yet powerful avatar. His actions will cause friction between him and Ravi Teja’s part, culminating in a finale that will be intense, action-packed and dramatic. The actor was intrigued by the depth and quirks of his character, prompting him to hop on board immediately. It’s a special role and Bhanu intends to present Naveen in a way audiences have never seen before. The actor will go for a makeover for the part.”

#RT75 is a proper popcorn entertainer set in the backdrop of Araku, with Ravi Teja playing a character as powerful as Vikram Rathore from Vikramarkudu and as ebullient as Kalyan from Kick. The makers are confident that the film’s new backdrop will charm the audience. A railway station set (resembling that of Araku station) has been designed for the film in the outskirts of Hyderabad. The next schedule of the film is being planned in Araku.

Co-starring Sree Leela, the likes of veterans Rajendra Prasad and Naresh Vijayakrishna are playing significant supporting parts in the film, which is slotted for Sankranti next year. It’s a Bheems Ceciroleo musical.
