Fans of Rebel star Prabhas have been waiting with bated breath for the teaser of Salaar, directed by KGF helmer Prashanth Neel, and it was finally dropped in the early hours of Thursday. “THE MOST VIOLENT MEN... CALLED ONE MAN... THE MOST VIOLENT Presenting our next feature #SalaarCeaseFire to the world,” production house Hombale Films wrote while attaching a link to the teaser on Twitter.
The less than two-minute teaser opens with a group of men armed with guns converging around veteran actor Tinnu Anand. The setting is somewhere in Africa. Undaunted by the threat around him, he says in “simple English” to avoid any confusion, “Lion, cheetah, tiger, elephant very dangers,” and after a series of inter cuts which gives a peek into the world of Salaar, he goes on, “but not in Jurassic park.” The man who is pointing a gun at Anand retreats in sheer fear, while he continues, “because in that park there is a …” Enters Prabhas in a violent avatar as he neutralizes his enemies with various weapons like pistols, a sword, an axe, and his bare fists. Wait, it’s not over yet as we get a glimpse of Prithviraj Sukumaran, dressed in an all-black outfit with kohl-rimmed eyes and with a traditional tika. He will be seen as Prabhas’ bête noire in the film.
As expected, Salaar will be made in two parts with the first part titled Salaar Part 1 - Ceasefire. Also starring Shruti Haasan, Jagapathi Babu, Easwari Rao, and Sriya Reddy in key roles, the first part is scheduled to release on September 28 in Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi. KGF composer Ravi Basrur is looking after the music department.
