For Rebel star Prabhas, Salaar has been a successful venture, ending his dry spell at the box office after the two-part Baahubali. Like most Prabhas films of late, it has been envisioned in two parts and while the makers were eager to start the second part last month itself, it couldn’t be achieved due to various factors. But it seems decks have been cleared for the second part.

According to reports, production house Hombale Films has devised plans to start Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam from August 10 in Ramoji Film City with a 15-day schedule. Reports add that there’s a standing set at RFC where the second part will resume. The shoot, it is said, will be spread over eight months, with the makers targeting a release sometime towards the end of next year.

Interestingly, reports claim that film’s writer-director Prashanth Neel will be juggling between part 2 and his untitled film with Jr NTR. Prashanth has planned everything in a way that both the films will be shot without any hurdles.

Set in the fictional dystopian city-state of Khansaar, where monarchy still exists, Salaar: Part 1- Ceasefire followed the friendship between Deva (Prabhas), the exiled prince of Khansaar, and Varadha (Prithviraj), the current prince of Khansaar. When a coup d'état is planned by his father's (Jagapathi Babu) ministers and his relatives, Varadha enlists Deva's help to become Khansaar's undisputed ruler.

It is assumed that Salaar 2 will explore the conflict and tension between Prabhas and Prithviraj’s characters, culminating in a finale that will be high on drama and action.
