With Ye Maya Chesave clocking 13 years upon release, film’s leading lady Samantha, who made everyone sit up and take notice of her explosive potential with her debut film, took to her Instagram page to drop a gratitude message towards fans for their love, encouragement and support. “The older I get… the farther I go… I just feel deeply thankful for all the love and affection… and for each new day and all the good things it brings. So many things that used to affect me… don’t anymore. Just a wave of love and gratitude every day. Thank you,” she wrote alongside a picture of a bouquet.
Over the weekend, fans of the actress made the #13PhenomenalYrsOfSamantha’ trend on India trends. Reacting to this, she wrote, “I feel all of this love… It is what keeps me going…Now and forever, I am what I am because of you. 13 years and we are just getting started.”
On the occasion, congratulations poured in from her fans and friends from the industry.
Nandini Reddy, who directed Sam in films like Jabardusth and Oh Baby, shared a childhood picture of Samantha and wrote, “You have come a long way kidd0… Super proud of who you have become.” Actor-filmmaker Rahul Ravindran too shared a picture and wrote, “"Look at this photo I found :) @instrogrammer clicked it 14 years back on our terrace :) Congratulations on 13 years @samantharuthprabhuoffl here's to plenty more."
On the work front, Samantha, who is filming for the Indian installment of Citadel universe, directed by Raj and DK, will be joining the sets of Khushi next month. Her next release in Telugu is Gunasekhar’s Shaakuntalam, a whimsical tale, where she plays the titular role.
