Spectacular is the word to describe the trailer of Nani-starrer Saripodhaa Sanivaaram which hit the internet hours after it was showcased to fans at Sudarshan 35 mm theatre in Hyderabad on Tuesday.
A little over three minutes, the trailer opens with the introduction of Dayaa (SJ Suryah), a monster cop who thrashes an individual just for asking directions to a loo, thus establishing his character. He seems to have ire for people from Sokulapalem. As he is seen bashing another individual from the same place mercilessly, the constable (Priyanka Mohan) is eager for a solution. Enter Surya, who is a split personality of Yama and Chitragupta as per his dad (Sai Kumar). Surya is someone who takes it upon himself to help the needy even if it means going against people who are more powerful than him. He is the messiah that Sokulapalem is waiting for. And he soon pens down the name of Dayaa in his diary, which means he will go to any length to battle the cop and liberate the people from the rage of Dayaa. The rest of the trailer is all about Surya vs Dayaa while we also get to see characters like Murali Sharma and Supreeth Reddy, who too are looking for Surya like Dayaa.
Rounding up, the trailer grabs your attention instantly and leaves you craving for more. There’s action (plenty of it), romance, drama in equal measure, promising full meals for the audience. Nani is playing a character that everyone will root for and as usual he is in his element, while SJ Suryah fits the role of a neurotic cop to a tee. Priyanka Mohan as a hapless constable is sincere, while Murali Sharma and Sai Kumar seem to have landed meaty supporting parts. The background score by Jakey Bejoy is stirring and amps up the dramatic effect.
Written and directed by Vivek Athreya and produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram storms into cinemas on August 29th in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously.
