The trailer of Kajal Aggarwal-starrer Satyabhama was released at an event in Hyderabad earlier today. Kajal’s co-star from Bhagavanth Kesari, Nandamuri Balakrishna, was the chief guest of the event.

The two-minute-39-second trailer opens with Kajal as ACP Satya, Madhapur Police Station, failing to protect a woman named Haseena. She is later suspended by her seniors due to the lapse. Satya is consumed by guilt and wants to get to the bottom of the case, which is no longer in her hands. Haseena has a brother Iqbal who despises Satya. Satya, however, wants Iqbal to treat her like his sister. Things take a turn when Iqbal goes missing. Will she be able to find him in the nick of time seems to form the crux of the story.

In conclusion, the trailer, with strong visuals and rich production values, promises a gritty whodunit laden with intrigue and mystery. Kajal, in a role that she has hitherto played, speaks a gamut of emotions as she dives into a high-stakes investigation involving leaders as well. She seemed to be at ease with the action part as well. Sri Charan Pakala’s background score adds a layer of mystery and suspense.

Also featuring Naveen Chandra, Prakashraj, Harshavardhan, Ravi Varma, Ankith Koyya, Sampada N, Prajwal Yadma, Neha Pathan, Anirudh Pavithran, Satya Pradeepti, Rohit Satyan and Kodati Pavan Kalyan, Satyabhama marks the directorial debut of Suman Chikkala, while Srinivas Rao Takkalapelly and Bobby Tikka have jointly produced it. The film vrooms into cinemas on June 7.
