The new schedule of #Sharwa36, having begun on April 22 last month, concluded last Wednesday, with debutant director Abhilash Reddy Kankara filming portions on Sharwanand, Rajasekhar and Brahmaji at a specially erected set in Shamshabad. “With this outing, 50 percent of the film stands completed,” says a source close to the unit.

The makers are now gearing up to start the next schedule sometime after June 20. “In between the breaks of the last schedule, Abhilash undertook a recce of Indonesia along with his team to set his next schedule. The chart has been prepared and the unit will travel to Indonesia on June 20, with the filming set to begin three-four days later. The Indonesian leg will witness racing portions being shot primarily. Sharwa plays a Motocross racer in the film. Dhilip Subbarayan, who is a leading stunt master, has been hired to choreograph the racing portions. Action part aside, Abhilash will also be filming some talkie portions. This leg will go until the end of July after which the unit will fly off to Italy for a 10-day schedule. The Italian leg will also witness racing portions being shot. Besides the leading man Sharwa, the foreign schedules will also require the participation of Rajasekhar, Brahmaji and others,” chips in the source.

The source goes on to add that for the racing portions, the makers have procured 30 bikes at Rs 3 lakh each, totalling to Rs 90 lakh. “They’ve been remodeled to suit the ‘90s era. Similarly for the portions in the aughts, another 30 bikes have been purchased, with each priced at Rs 3 lakh. The makers are leaving no stone unturned to match the vision Abhilash has envisioned for the project, making it one of the biggest budgeted films of Sharwa until date,” the source points out.

Further, the source reveals the makers are planning to wrap up the entire shoot by September-end. “After the Italy schedule, the unit will come back to Hyderabad and later visit Indonesia once again to shoot younger Sharwa portions. The actor sports three distinct looks in the film, which is a period family drama set in sports backdrop,” the source concludes.
