In a bid to spread awareness about the right to education, the makers of Dhanush-starrer Sir, a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, have come up with a plan to bring the film closer to school children. On Saturday, film’s producer S Naga Vamsi announced that they will be screening the film free of cost to school children and all that the school authorities need to do is to reach out to the film’s production house.
“The Major goal of #SIRMovie #Vaathi was to spread awareness about value of education. We are happy to show our movie free of cost to the School Kids. Please send a mail at [email protected] & our team will reach out to you at the earliest with the show confirmation!” the producer posted on Twitter.
Sir, which has been a successful venture for Sithara, is a hard-hitting social drama revolving around the role of the mafia in education. Helmed by Venky Atluri, the film, also featuring Samyuktha Menon, Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar, Aadukalam Naren, Tanikella Bharani, Ilavarasu, Narra Srinivas and Hyper Aadi, has breached the Rs 100 crore gross mark at the ticket counters. The film, which opened on February 17, also holds the distinction of being Dhanush’s first project in Telugu.
