Rebel Star Prabhas and blockbuster filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga are gearing up for a massive cinematic spectacle with Spirit, which has now locked its theatrical release date. The highly anticipated action drama will arrive in cinemas worldwide on October 29, 2027, coinciding with the Diwali festive season, setting the stage for one of the biggest releases of the year.
The makers announced the date through a striking new release poster that presents Prabhas in an intense, stylish and mysterious avatar. Sporting a black cap, dark sunglasses and a thick beard, the actor appears in a close-up profile shot, with dramatic lighting accentuating his rugged appearance. The predominantly black-and-white visual creates a striking contrast with the film’s bold red title lettering.
Spirit brings together two formidable forces known for their larger-than-life cinematic appeal. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who established a strong box-office track record with his first three films, is expected to explore another intense and uncompromising narrative with Prabhas at the forefront. The collaboration has generated considerable curiosity, with audiences eager to discover the character and world the filmmaker has envisioned for the pan-Indian star.
Triptii Dimri plays the female lead, while Vivek Oberoi essays a pivotal role. The film is being mounted on an ambitious scale on a massive canvas by Pranay Reddy Vanga and Bhushan Kumar under the banners of Bhadrakali Pictures and T-Series Films. With its powerful combination of star appeal, the director’s distinctive storytelling approach and a festive release window, the project is shaping up to be a major theatrical attraction.
Spirit is planned for a multilingual release, targeting audiences across India and select international markets. The film will have a global release in eight languages, including a few foreign languages, underlining the makers’ ambition to take the Prabhas–Sandeep Reddy Vanga collaboration to a wider global audience.
